What are they?

Fitted Diapers are similar to a prefold (old fashioned cloth diaper) except there is no folding and the diaper is shaped like a disposable. They are made from various types of materials (cotton, organic wool, etc.) that are layered together to make an absorbant diaper. They do require a separate cover.

In our opinion...
Pros
Fitted diapers are still easy to use because you basically lay a diaper inside a cover snap or aplix close and you're ready to go! The cover can be used throughout the day as long as no poop gets on it. They are soft on baby's skin and as long as you have a good fitting cover they tend not to leak at the legs (also called wicking). Also, they cost less than pockets or AIOs

Cons
These diapers are not as easy as pockets or AIOs. They do require a few "extra" steps when putting on the diaper. Some find that using the fitted w/a cover makes the diaper seem bulky and therefore doesn't get a good fit under clothing. Also, most fitted diapers require 2 cycles in the dryer to really get dry.
