Diaper Wipe
Recipes
Basic Wipe Recipe
1/2- 1 tablespoon
baby wash
2 drops Tea Tree Oil
2 cups Water
Mix well in a spray bottle or your
wipes box. Spritz on wipe before using if in spray. Pour
solution over wipes if using a wipes box. Tea Tree Oil
has lovely disinfectant properties along with its wonderful,
clean smell. Can omit the Tea tree if it irritates baby's skin.
Lavender is a nice substitute, but you can omit the essential oil all
together and still have a simple and quick wipe solution.
Aloe Vera Wipes
1 cup Aloe
Vera gel (I always use
the clear, uncolored variety).
8 cups hot water
8 drops Tea Tree Oil
Shake well.
Wipe Solution
To every cup of distilled water
add:
1 tsp natural baby wash
a few drops of Tea Tree Oil
a few drops of Lavender essential oil
1
tsp Apricot oil or Aloe Vera gel
Anti-Fungal Baby Wipes
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup Aloe Vera Gel
1 tablespoon Calendula
Oil
2 drops Lavender or
Chamomile Oil
2 drops Tea Tree Oil or
Grape Seed Extract
Mix in a jar and then
pour over wipes. Store extra solution in the fridge.
This one is great
for discouraging
yeast diaper rashes. The vinegar and essential oils discourage
yeast (you can make a smaller batch dependent on the size
container. You can use a gallon jug with a childproof cap and just
pour it into wipes container with the wipes. This recipe
makes 1/2 gallon).
***This particular recipe while good
for yeast could harm fleece lined diapers. Z Bear Diapers suggests that
you wash your wipes separately from your diaper load when using this
recipe*** |
